Altinkum and the Aegean Coast Region

Altinkum is ideally located on the Turkish Aegean's tourist trail, and is located between the larger resorts of Bodrum and Kusadasi. The resorts main attractions are its stunning beaches for which it is named (Altin-kum means Golden Sand) and its one of the best on the Aegean coast making it perfect for a relaxed and easy going beach holiday.

Altinkum is a purpose-built resort set on a sandy bay that gently shelves with sparkling clear turquoise waters and has a relaxed and informal atmosphere. It’s a haven for beach lovers, and there are three within easy reach. Altinkum’s Main Beach is a long wide stretch of golden sand, where you can just laze about sunbathing with Sunbeds and umbrellas to rent in abundance or try a pedalo. The Second Beach is just along the promenade, and a mile away, beyond the harbour, the Third Beach offers a quieter environment with clear sparkling waters.

Other activities include jet skiing, windsurfing; banana boats rides, or why not try a scuba diving lesson? Go fishing or enjoy a pleasure boat trip from the harbour to local coves and beach’s. All these activities and more can easily be found along the sea front.

Altinkum boasts a number of fantastic attractions of its own, with a wide choice of bars, restaurants and cafes, a bustling nightlife for those who want it, a funfair, a nearby Aqua Park and, of course, the famous Temple of Apollo at Didyma, on a site originating from the eighth century BC. Altinkum is also within a short journey of the historic sites of Priene, Miletos, Dalyan and Bodrum, and tours are available to Ephesus, Pamukkale and many other tourist destinations.
